“Miracle Molly” is currently the world’s smallest dog at only 9.5 centimeters tall. But now, she has registered for another record for most cloned dog. She was recreated for 49 times.
The owner of the dog, who is from Florida, was reached out by a bio-research facility from Korea to learn more about the dog’s genetic structure and why is she so small. The dog only weight 28 grams when she was conceived. She was so small her body could fit the head of a teaspoon and was told she would not live long.
The owner currently lives with all 12 of Milly’s clones. The names of the dogs are Mulan, Mela, Mini, Moni, Mimi, Mary, Mila, Mumu, Molly II, Melly, Mally and Molly. The data gathered from the cloning research will be analyzed and be published in a scientific journal.
