Two doggos named Sassy and Spero got married on February 11. The reason behind the wedding is to encourage donations for shelter dog heartworm treatments for the animals with the Greenville County Animal Care under their “Have a Heart” fund.
– Two doggos named Sassy and Spero got married on February 11.
– They got married to encourage donations for the “Have a Heart” fund of the Greenville County Animal Care.
– The doggos actually suffered from…
The wedding was organized by the shelter and the Wedding Festivals and Upstate Bridal Association in South Carolina. The whole wedding ceremony was documented live through the shelter’s Facebook page. It showed the doggos wearing cute wedding outfits during the event.
The “Have a Heart” fund was started to deliver heartworm treatment to shelter doggos. What makes the story even better is that both Sassy and Spero also suffered from the serious lung disease before they were adopted. So it was just fitting that they asked for donations for the fund in lieu of wedding gifts.
The wedding likewise served as an encouragement for people to adopt the other doggos at the shelter.
