A dog thief recently snatched a £1,800 that was outside a Tesco. The dog owners, Andy and Marie Smith, just got the doggo three weeks ago and are beyond disbelief regarding the incident.
– A dog was being held by its owner outside a Tesco.
– Later, someone came up to the dog owner and pretended to stroke the dog.
– The thief actually unclipped the dog’s leash and later snatched the animal.
According to them, the thief pretended to stroke the doggo while outside the store. Later, the thief snatched the three-month-old German Shepherd. The dog was being held by Andy when the thief came up to him. Andy, 67, said that the thief managed to remove the leash of the doggo without him noticing. That was when the thief took the chance to snatch the doggo and Andy could not do anything about it.
A security guard and a passer-by tried to chase the thief but they did not succeed in apprehending him. Mary then started putting up posters in an attempt to find their doggo named Bear. Mary added, “It was only the third time we had taken Bear out because he is waiting to have his vaccinations but he was going stir crazy indoors. I popped into the shop while Andy waited outside holding Bear on a lead. A woman and a lad came up and started stroking Bear and asked if they could take him for a walk and of course, Andy said no.”
The dog owners are offering a reward or the return of Bear. Police are also on the case and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
