Minister of Canadian heritage, Mélanie Joly, is currently taking care of a Labrador retriever/Bernese mountain mix service dog in training. Joly has been taking the doggo to different events such as meeting the Prime Minister.
Joly noted that whenever she is with the doggo named Naboo, she can be a normal person. Joly has been with the dog since last summer. The dog was trained to help people with visual impairment or autism. Joly has to give the dog back to the training center soon.
Joly did not need the dog for support but the dog relieved the stress she has been feeling. If the dog will not pass a service dog, Joly could opt to pay a portion of the cost of training spent on Naboo.
