One of the winners at the Super Bowl over the weekend was Kansas City Chiefs’ Derrick Nnadi. To celebrate his win, he paid for the adoption fees at a Kansas City dog shelter which is around $150 per adoption. This means that the dogs at that shelter are basically free for those who want to take them home.

– He paid for the adoption fees of doggos under the care of KC Pet Project.
– He did the same for all the times his team won during the NFL season.
The shelter was later identified as KC Pet Project. They posted on their Facebook page that the defense player paid for the adoption fees of every adoptable dog under their care. In a statement by Nnadi, he said that he always wanted a dog and he finally got one when he was in college. He added, “When I first got him, he was very timid. It made me think of how other animals, whether they’re owned or in a shelter, are feeling scared and alone.”
This was not the only time that Nnadi paid for the adoption fees of adoptable dogs. During the NFL season, his team won 15 times. Every time they won, he selected a shelter where he paid the adoption fees of doggos.
