A new study claims that when dog owners say “I love you” to their dogs, something happens to the furry pals. Accordingly, the heart rates of doggos increase by 48 percent when they hear these words.

The study was conducted by Canine Cottages. Four doggos were made part of the study and had special heart rate tracking collars in order to see what were the things their humans did that made them excited. The normal heart rate of the doggos was at 67 bpm. However, when their owners said the magic words, the heart rates increased to 98 bpm.
Aside from that, the study found out that the most calming thing for doggos that their humans to is when they cuddle their fur babies. From 67 bpm, the heart rate of doggos drops to 52 bpm when cuddled.
