There are a lot of pets available but a lot of people would rather have doggos. According to a new study, wanting to have a doggo might actually be because of a person’s DNA.
– Owning a dog might have something to do with a person’s DNA.
– A study was made involving identical and non-identical twins.
– Identical twins have more possibility to adopt a dog rather than non-identical twins.
The study was recently published on Scientific Reports and the genes of a person has something to do with his or her personality traits. The study included a sample population of 35, 035 pairs of twins. Most identical twins have doggos while the non-identical twins don’t have the same liking towards dogs.
The study, however, is not done yet. Senior author Patrik Magnusson said that they still have to identify the genetic variants, which affects the decision of a person whether or not to own a doggo. From these findings in the future, there will be more information as to why most dog owners enjoy positive effects by simply having a furry friend.
