Some Russian stray dogs had their fur colored with bright blue and bright green dyes. It remains unclear who is responsible for doing this.
– Russian stray dogs were found with bright blue fur.
– It is believed they rolled around a factory that produced prussic acid.
– Later, another set of stray dogs appeared with bright green fur.
According to reports, a total seven dogs with bright blue fur were found roaming near a glass factory in the Dzerzhinsk area. They were spotted last February 11. It is believed that the factory producing acrylic glass and prussic acid is the area where the doggos rolled around in powdered blue dye. The doggos were then taken to a veterinarian and were checked. Traces of Prussian blue dye were found in the fur and they were otherwise reported healthy.
Later, several dogs were found with bright green fur. They were seen roaming around Podolsk. The doggos could have rolled around an abandoned warehouse where sacks of powdered green paint were placed. It is believed by many, however, that the stray dogs with bright green fur were deliberately painted because the bright blue-colored doggos received a lot of attention.
