One dog owner wrote to The Telegraph saying that they had springer spaniels in the past but the six-month-old doggo of the same breed that they have now just won’t stop pulling the leash towards the side and away from the dog’s humans. The vet for the column said that doggos do not automatically know how to walk while on a leash. That is why the dog owner has to teach the doggo that pulling sideways is not a good way of walking while on a leash.
The vet advised that the dog owner should use treats and maybe a body harness to help guide the doggo.
