According to reports, he and his mother started their little project in 2016. The mother said that they adopted their dog in 2015 that was supposed to die as it was surrendered to a kill shelter. She realized that she can do more so she started volunteering at a local shelter. Her son then helped his mom make videos online about the dogs in order to help them get adopted.
The mother and son duo then started the Project Freedom Ride in December of 2016 after they took 31 dogs with them when they moved from Texas to Washington. Since then, they have paired more than 1,000 dogs with their loving new families.
