Some shelter dogs continue to be aggressive because of the trauma they went through or because of other circumstances that they have suffered from. A shelter dog bit a supervisor and now the dog has to be taken down.

The supervisor works at the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control and the doggo, a two-year-old pit bull terrier mix, was being taken to another area when it bit the supervisor not just once but several times. The supervisor had to undergo surgery after the biting incident. The supervisor received bites to her hand, ankle, thigh, and side.
Accordingly, if no one else was there during the incident, the supervisor might have suffered more serious injuries. The dog has been at the shelter since December 29 of last year and was already considered adoptable. The dog was able to pass the behavioral tests. It is possible that the dog acted that way because it was stressed out while being in the kennel.
