The vendor reportedly yelled at the man and his service dog that they should never come back because they are not allowed at the market. The veteran released a statement saying that he does not blame the market because it could have happened anywhere. He also asked people to ask questions first if they see someone with a dog and not just jump to judgement immediately.
The dog is a service dog and he goes everywhere with its owner. The veteran is from the Navy and suffers from anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. The dog owner noted that his dog is actually not just his companion but is also his friend and his source of healing. The dog owner also said that he gets fidgety and edgy when his dog is now with him.
