The book was launched at the Boston Library just last week ahead of the Boston Marathon anniversary. The couple weren’t really part of the marathon and just went there to cheer for the participants. Both lost their lower left leg. The author of the book talking about the dog also lost her lower right leg three years later.
They then got a service dog. The dog changed both the lives of the author and her husband. The book reflected how the service dog helped the author and her husband after the tragic event.
