A man in Mexico is being hailed a hero. This comes after he opened up his home for 300 doggos in danger of being affected by the hurricane.

According to reports, the man is Ricardo Pimentel. He is not the only hero, however, because people who donated foods for all the animals likewise deserve the title. The animals are actually from the shelter called Tierra de Animales, which Pimentel founded almost 10 years ago. Although it took hours to get the animals inside his home and the area later smelled terrible, he said it was all worth it. He added, “It doesn’t matter if the house is dirty, it can be cleaned. The things they broke can be fixed or bought again, but what’s beautiful is to see them happy, healthy and safe, without wounds and with the possibility of being adopted.”
Aside from the doggos, the other animals that were saved by Pimentel are cats, chicks, hedgehogs, rabbits, and sheep.
