The dog is three years old and is named Kai. He is currently with Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ (SSPCA) center in Balerno. The dog is a Rottweiler cross and he always gets worried and anxious whenever placed inside his kennel. As a result, the dog would try anything so he can get out. Sometimes, when staff goes to his kennel and gets him out, he tries to escape.
The SSPCA said in a statement that they do not know how Kai will be in a home because they do not know its history before they got him. However, they believe he suffers from separation anxiety so they need the new owners to “be aware of this and be prepared to work through any related issues.” They also advice that the perfect home for the doggo is enclosed to prevent him from escaping. They hope the new owner had previous experience with nervous dogs and do not have children or other animals in the home.
