A herd of elephants abandoned a baby elephant. Luckily, an organization took the elephant in but the animal got so lonely that it did not want to interact with anyone else.

The elephant was taken in by the Rhino Orphanage in Zululand, South Africa. The elephant suffered from a massive umbilical hernia but has since recovered.
However, the elephant did not seem happy or positive because it was abandoned by its herd. The elephant then met a retired service dog, a German shepherd.
The doggo went to the elephant one day and they began playing. The dog and the elephant had an unusual bond and they have become inseparable.
The dog and the elephant remain together. It is possible that the elephant will rejoin a herd in the future.
