The organization, Four Paws, is a global animal welfare organization and they are working to raise awareness regarding the dog meat trade in Cambodia. Last year, the six dogs that were rescued from three different slaughterhouses were taken to Boston. Later, they were transported to New England in New Hampshire.
The head of communications of Four Paws in their Boston base said in a statement that people would not know the “horrors these dogs have seen” at first glance but they hope that new fur moms and dads will take them home soon because their “happy ending story will live on and help educate the public on the current suffering involved in the dog meat trade in Southeast Asia.”
