A rescue group from Elkhart, Indiana was the reason why a doggo is now having a second shot at life. The doggo was rescued from a Chinese slaughterhouse and has finally found a family that will love it forever.

Homeward Bound Animal Welfare Group rescued the white Samoyed named Zhen Zhen from a slaughterhouse. The director of the rescue group said that the doggo is really nice and that’s probably one of the many reasons why they found the people who the doggo will call its family. Before the dog was adopted out, it was able to complete obedience classes just recently.

Zhen Zhen is actually the first dog that the rescue group took from China. China still eats dog meat per their beliefs and culture.
