A rescue dog was given a second shot at life and he did not disappoint. The dog was trained to be a police dog and can now successfully identify four different kinds of drugs.

The dog is now working with New Haven Police Department in Franklin Count, Missouri. The doggo is a two-year-old pit bull that was rescued from an animal shelter in Philadelphia. The doggo was chosen by Animal Farm Foundation to undergo training to be a police doggo because he was willing to work and had a loving temperament.
The handler of the dog shared, “It’s amazing that you can take a dog like this that was in a rescue, in a shelter, and make him a working dog. And he loves it and he’s great at it.”
Aside from being able to sniff out illegal drugs specifically heroin, meth, marijuana, and cocaine, Jet the dog is also an ambassador for the police department as he appears at schools, senior centers, and community events in their behalf.
