The Humane Society based in Southern Arizona will conduct a study involving pet dogs and their owners.
In this study, the researchers will initially evaluate the immune function, physical activity, diet and gut bacteria of the participants.
After three months of living with their pet dogs, the scientists will then tests for any significant changes.
