The United States Postal Service (USPS) released its annual report showing the list of cities with the highest number of dog bites towards mail carriers. From the data gathered last year, Houston ranked first all over the U.S.
– Houston has the highest number of dog attacks towards mail carriers.
– The USPS says they will continue with their dog bit prevention trainings and programs.
– Dog owners are advised to place their dog…
The USPS said that dog owners should undergo training and be educated as to how they could help in decreasing the number of dog attacks. USPS safety director Linda DeCarlo noted that they are hopeful and confident that with the programs regarding dog bite prevention that they have, they can keep not just mail carriers safe but people in general.
It is advised that dog owners place their dog in a separate room before receiving a package. Dog owners should also not take packages or letters in front of the doggo because they could view it as their humans being threatened.
