A police force in Wales has kept a dog in one of its kennels for two years now. They are yet to decide whether to euthanize the dog, return it to the dog owner or rehome the dog.

Dyfed-Powys Police said that the dog being held was due to the fact that a case was ongoing involving the doggo. The issue regarding this dog was highlighted due to the costs that the area is facing regarding detention of dangerous doggos, specifically those suspected to be a pit bull terrier dog breed, for 14 weeks. The police force has paid a total of £105,246 just for detaining doggos and the accessory expenses that come with it since 2014.
If a dog is found out to be a dangerous dog, the police force has to euthanize them.
