Tennessee just had its first police dog that specifically sniffs out electronics in order to help detect possible possession of any crime related to children. During his first day on the job, the police dog named Remi, was able to find a small memory card inside a suitcase.

The dog is a two-year-old black Labrador and started with the police department in Tennessee last May 18. The dog is under the Internet Cries Against Children Task Force. The dog will also help in searching for contraband cellular phones inside jail cells.
The police dog was acquired by the department not thru the taxpayer’s money. The police department said that they have worked with businesses and partners in order to get the dog and have it undergo training.
