In Newark, New Jersey, they finally opened the first ever dog park to the public. When it opened, a lot of dog owners went there with their dogs to let them enjoy the new area where they can play around and socialize.

Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo said in a statement that they are happy they worked with Forest Hills Neighborhood Association because they came up with the idea of building a dog park. The dog park has two sections so that larger dogs will not be around smaller dogs. The dog park is also fenced so that unleashed dogs won’t be able to run away. There are water fountains, trash receptacles, dog bag dispensers, dog washing stations, and benches.
Many dog owners said that they were happy with the dog park installation because they also think that it’s great for the community.
