The musher is catering to senior in a rural part of Maine. She is also a clerk at a grocery store and she said she noticed elderlies coming in to their store to buy items like milk, eggs, and fruit. She added that she then “wanted to help them minimize leaving their house during this time of a pandemic.” She owns Siberian huskies and she races with them. She decided to use them during this time to deliver the grocery items.
The musher takes the orders via phone and delivers them near the people’s homes to adhere with social distancing. She tries to take four to six orders in a day.
