On Thursday, TCAS or The Colony Animal Shelter had a crowd of guests from Lakeside Montessori Academy or LMA, ages 6 to 12 years old. Every young learner carries a book to read to a haven dog as an element of a nationwide endeavor to develop child comprehension skills.
Eleven groups of Lakeside Montessori summer-camp students came with books in hand at the haven all the way through the day prepared to read to a dog of their pick.
Mark Cooper, TCAS Manager speak that the learners place pallets in face of every of the canine kennel and be seated for a few one-on-one reading moment.
