In Buckley, Washington, a dog owner has been waiting to see her missing doggo, who disappeared from their neighborhood in 2017. After four long years, the yearning has stopped as they were recently reunited.
– A dog went missing in 2017.
– It is believed that the dog was stolen.
– Four years later, the dog was…
The dog owner was identified as Michelle Voegele while the dog was identified as 11-year-old Archie. The reunion comes after the dog got out of their home during a snowy day in February 2017 and left no trace. Voegele said of the reunion, “Oh, my goodness, dream come true. Just a miracle, a miracle.” She added that although she dreamed of the day she would see Archie again, she had no assurances that she would.
Voegele also feared the worst as they believe that her dog was one of those stolen by a dognapper. Accordingly, during the same time that Archie went missing, six of her neighbors reported that their dogs were stolen from their yards.
Last May, Voegele got a call from a veterinary tech. She was asked if her name is Michelle and if she has a dog named Archie. It turns out that the dog ended up in a home in Bothell. It is unclear how the veterinary tech got a hold of Archie.
The only advice that Voegele has for other dog owners is that they chip their dog so there’s a better chance for reunion in case the doggo goes missing.
