The dog was just one year old when it was stolen. The dog was reportedly found in a shelter in Tennessee. It is still unknown how the dog ended up there. The dog owners were identified because the doggo was chipped.
The couple adopted the doggo as an emotional support dog. The dog was stolen while it was left in the care of another family member because the couple had to devote their time to the birth of their first child.
