According to reports, the store had a self-service pet bathing area. The man, identified as 54-year-old Michael Myer, was then spotted through the surveillance video abusing the German shepherd. It is unclear if Myer is the dog owner but said Lollypop Farm Vice President for Law Enforcement Reno Di Domenico said in a statement, “This type of violence against a family pet is not something we can tolerate in our community.”
Authorities knew about it because the patrons and store employees reported about the matter. Myer has to pay a $1,000 fine and/or has to serve a year in prison if proven guilty.
