A man from Karachi, Pakistan was arrested after he was videoed tying a doggo to his car then drove away. The dog died from the incident.

The video was shared on social media by Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation (ACF) Animal Rescue and it has sparked outrage online. The police then located the plate number of the vehicle and the man in the video. The man was arrested and in a statement by the police, a case was already registered against him in East Karachi.” The animal rescue responded to the statement saying that they hope the person is punished and they are thankful because this is the “first time ever that justice has been served so quickly for a case about an animal.” The animal rescue added in a statement that they hope the incident sets an example for others that animal cruelty is inexcusable.
The death of the dog came on the heels of an order by the government regarding mass killings of stray doggos because they are viewed as a threat to the public.
