The dog that has been coined as “Britain’s Loneliest Dog” remains to be lonely because no one has come forward to adopt him yet. The dog has been at the shelter for more than a year already.
– A dog has spent more than a year at a shelter in Sheffield.
– He has been dubbed as the loneliest doggo in Britain.
– The dog was surrendered during Christmas 2018 after its owner…
Accordingly, the doggo has been under the care of Sheffield’s Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) for 400 days already. The dog has been given the name Diefer and is a terrier cross. He was given up in Christmas of 2018 after its human died.
According to the animal care lead at the shelter, some have showed interest in the doggo but it always falls through. The dog is reportedly very friendly and he deserves a fur-ever home. The care lead added, “He goes for lovely leisurely walks and loves to see the sights and take in the world. We have shown him some fun ways to channel his energy by doing things like scent work. We have also helped him tweak his manners, he will now happily swap his toys for another or something equally as fun. Once he is comfortable with you, he is an absolute diamond.”
The shelter added that the 10-year-old doggo needs a home where there are no other pets.
