You can teach your doggo some new tricks or exercise with them so they don’t have time to think about digging anymore. Another reason why dogs dig is because they want to keep cool. During the hot weather, it’s best to keep your dog inside your house so they don’t have to beat the heat by ruining your yard.
If your dog won’t stop digging thought, it’s best to designate an area where your dog can dig. Dog breeds like Dachshunds and Parson Russell Terriers love digging so the only solution left is to get him a digging pit or a sandbox. You can even bury their favorite toys or a bone so they know that’s the only place where they can dig.
