The Royal couple adopted then a Cocker Spaniel Puppy. At that time the name was not released and a big secret. In fact, the couple was at the time a bit worried they weren’t ready to take care of a Puppy.
But William and Catherine instantly fell in love with the littele Pup. So the Puppy became part of the royal family.
By the way, did you know, that the Royals are a really Dog friendly Monarchy? When you look back in history, from the 17th century onwards, dogs appeard in the Queens Palace. They had all kind of breeds, from pugs to greyhounds, Cocker Spaniels and Corgis.

Some of the Dogs even have their own portraits. The Dogs were considered as members of the family.
