The rescue dog was discovered by talent scouts in a not-kill shelter in Arizona. One of the scouts then decided to adopt the doggo. In a post by Theroux, he showed a photo of himself and the doggo. Theroux will be providing the voice of Tramp in the flick. In the Instagram post, Theroux shared the story of the doggo. He added towards the end of the post that he is thankful he was chosen to do Monty’s voice “so he can show the world how amazing shelter animals really are.”
Theroux also shared that his own rescue dog, Kuma, will also be in the film. Other rescue dogs were also used in the live-action version. The movie will be out on November 12 this year.
