On Wednesday, the trains on the J/M/Z line in New York had to be delayed for almost two hours. The reason? A dog was found running on the tracks and authorities attempted to save him.

The dog, identified as Jake, a Jindo from Korea, was finally rescued at around 11 P.M. Accordingly, the dog has been missing since December 30 and was only found days later. The dog owner was not in the same area because she was on a vacation. The dog was under the care of a dog sitting service when the dog went missing.
Hours before the rescue, a friend of the dog owner said that she spotted the dog at the subway station so the dog owner and a few other people went there to hopefully get the dog back. The dog was eventually located in the tunnel between Manhattan and Brooklyn on the Williamsburg Bridge tracks. The dog also got medical care and was cleared later.
The dog is actually a doggo from the Korean meat trade and was rescued in June of 2018.
