– The dog was found on a bank along Chariton River.
– The people who found and rescued the dogs are kayakers on a boat ride.
The doggo, named Ethyl, is 10 years old and was on a bank along the Chariton River. The dog was skittish and was covered in ticks. Initially, the dog did not want to come with them, but it probably realized they were there to help. When they got the dog into the kayak, they saw that the dog has a tag and the dog owner’s phone number was there. They called the owner and were able to reunite the two. It took them four hours to get off the river and witness the reunion.
The timing of the kayakers was also great because if they haven’t gotten her off the river on that day, the dog would have been washed away. One of the kayakers said that the waters in the area have been coming up so much in the past few days.
