– A woman wants to get a dog but her husband opposes the idea.
– The woman then wrote to a pet advice column.
– The author responded that the best way to try and convince the husband is to…
The woman shared that she grew up with many pets and they currently have two cats. She really wants to get a dog and she can take care of it because she works from home. Her husband, however, does not like dogs because they are “too messy, smelly, and expensive.”
The author for the pet advice column then answered saying that, “Getting a dog is a big deal, and I imagine he’s more concerned about the general threat of change than the animal itself.” The author further advised that maybe they can talk about fostering a dog and from there, they can see what would happen next. Fostering a dog is not only helpful for this couple’s situation but also for doggos from shelters that needs care.
