After the death of the first ever case of the doggo that suffered from coronavirus due to human-to-canine transmission, the news about a second dog of the same case has been recorded in Hong Kong.
– Another dog in Hong Kong got coronavirus from its owner.
– The latest case is the dog of a 30-year-old woman coronavirus positive.
– The dog and another dog from the same household are already in quarantine.
The dog is a two-year-old German Shepherd and is owned by a coronavirus patient. The dog owner is a 30-year-old woman. The dog has already been quarantined at a government facility. The dog owner has another doggo, a four-year-old mixed breed, which has already been tested but the result came back negative. Despite the negative test on the other dog, both will still be monitored closely.
A spokesman for the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department said that there remains no evidence that pets can transmit the virus to humans so there is nothing to worry about regarding this new case of human-to-canine transmission of the coronavirus.
