The Albuquerque Animal Welfare also said that they started getting a lot of calls from concerned people about doggos being kept outside homes despite the below-freezing temperatures. The Albuquerque Animal Welfare noted that they do not want to cite these dog owners immediately so they look at any run-ins with them in the past first. Lt. Thomas Romero added, “We’re in a position where we can give a dog house if we need to, and so if we can offer that to them and avoid a ticket, get the dog what it needs, that’s better for everybody.”
