– These types of dogs also suffered from walking problems.
– A new study found that one in three dogs suffered from this problem.
A new study just found out that these types of dogs also suffer from walking problems. One out of three pugs have suffered from gait abnormalities as they aged.
The study was recently published on Vet Record and they examined a total of 550 pugs in Sweden. The dogs were aged one, five, or eight.
Dog owners were then asked if they noticed their pug walking differently or if the dog showed signs of weakness and inability to jump.
Thirty percent was recorded to have had gait abnormalities and the most common sign was the dog’s reluctance to walk. The older dogs were most likely to experience walking abnormalities.
