A dog named Chloe spent most of her life as a guide dog for a former cross country runner when she was still alive and she crossed the rainbow on Saturday.

The former cross country runner, Sami Stoner, and Chloe the dog became famous back in 2011 after they both finished a race together. Stoner is blind but managed to finish the race with the guide dog. The dog had to be put down after her struggles became all the more unbearable each day. The dog was diagnosed with a disease last year. Before Christmas, the dog owners knew that the doggo had a tumor the size of a football that is why they made the difficult decision to let her go.
Chloe the dog would have been nine years old this February.
