The momma dog, a Great Dane, gave birth to a litter of pups recently in Colorado. The dog owner shared, “It was so shocking when she was born. Luckily, I had recently read an article about a green dog. So at least I knew what was going on.” Accordingly, a chemical found in the bile of the momma dog might be the cause for making the dog’s fur green.
The chemical fortunately does not pose any danger to the dog except for naturally dyeing the dog’s fur. The green color is not permanent and will fade away in the next months.
