The organization is called Good Dog! Autism Companions and they will give the girl, named Livvy, a golden retriever service dog. The official day when the service dog will be given to Livvy is on November 10. According to the mother of Livvy, she hopes that the service dog will break some of the barriers that has been holding her daughter down. One is when people stare at her and they hope that when they already have a service dog beside Livvy, people would be more interested in knowing more about the girl’s real situation and how a service dog helps her.
The father of Livvy also hopes that the doggo will help her with her behavioral outbursts. Hopefully, their daughter will stop hurting herself and redirect her emotions to something more positive.
