A doggo and its human were out on a hike while it was very hot out. Later, the dog owner had to call rescuers because the doggo could not move.

The dog and the dog owner hiked through McAfee Knob Trail when the seven-year-old doggo could not continue with the hike. The dog owner said they had a lot of water but the dog just gave out. The dog owner then called 911 and the crews from Roanoke County Fire & Rescue Department were deployed.
The dog is around 125 pounds and had to be placed in a basket. The rescue operation lasted for almost two hours. The dog was taken to a veterinarian and it was determined that the doggo was doing well and just suffered a few cuts on its feet.
The dog owner also revealed that this was a first for them because they always go hiking and such a scare never happened to the doggo.
