There is a maternity leave and a paternity leave as provided for by a country’s laws but have you ever heard of a fur-ternity leave? Accordingly, a company is offering this to new fur mommies and daddies.
– A company in Minneapolis is offering fur-ternity leave.
– The one-week leave will allow an employee to work from home.
– Provided, however, that the employee is a new dog or cat owner.
The company is in Minneapolis and it is called Nina Hale, which is in the marketing business. Recently, they have established new policies over the employee benefits that they offer. The fur-ternity leave enables employees to work from home in order to take care of their new dogs or cats. The leave will last for a whole week.
Fur-ternity leave might be new to some but there have been many companies that have made the headlines as to their dog-friendly policies. Last year, a woman was allowed to take a paid leave because her dog got sick. Another company in New York offered a two-week paid leave if the employee has adopted or rescued a dog or an exotic pet.
