During this time of quarantine, there are a lot of people who will not be doing much. Now, a shelter is urging these people to foster a doggo during the quarantine.
– Detroit Dog Rescue is asking people to foster the 80 dogs under their care.
– These dogs need love, time, and attention.
– There are only few people going to the rescue center because of the quarantine due to coronavirus.
The Detroit Dog Rescue pleaded with the public to open their homes to foster doggos that are in need of love, time, and affection. Their volunteer program has been shut down that is why they do not have a lot of people taking care of the 80 doggos left at the shelter. The executive director of the rescue center, Kristina Rinaldi, said in a statement, “What we’re struggling with is trying to get dogs in foster homes as soon as possible.” Rinaldi added that if people cannot adopt the dogs they can just foster them because it is a “great way to give back and feel good during such a scary time.”
All the dogs under the care of Detroit Dog Rescue have been screened to assure the foster pup parents that they are safe to bring home. Every foster dog will get medical care and supplies. You may foster doggos from as short as one week to as long as six months.
