That’s what happened to a family in Illinois who just found out that their dog was mistakenly euthanized. Their dog bit a maintenance worker so they were ordered to take their dog to Tazewell County Animal Control. The family was told they would keep the dog for 10 days under quarantine to ensure he was safe to be around. However, last week, they received a call saying that their dog was euthanized by an employee who confused the dog with another dog.
The family has been demanding answers. In a statement by the Tazewell County Animal Control, they said that they are reviewing their policies and procedures. The family plans to take legal action against the Tazewell County Animal Control.
