According to the dog owner, Matthew Knopp, he took their doggo named Stardust to Life of Riley to have its nails clipped. However, 30 minutes after, a technician handed Stardust’s body to him. Knopp said, “All of a sudden he comes running out of the room, ‘Sir, sir, sir there’s something wrong with your dog. Sir, your dog is having a seizure.’ And at that point, I’m like, ‘What do you mean my dog is having a seizure? What? Like what’s wrong with my dog?’” They’ve been taking their doggo there in the past and did not encounter problems.
The same man already went out for the first time and asked Knopp if Stardust had her nails trimmed in the past and Knopp told him she did and it was in the same salon. Knopp said that when the man came out once again and handed the dog over to him, he could see that the dog’s tongue is blue and purple and was hanging out of its mouth.
Life of Riley released a statement saying that they are devastated and their hearts and condolences go out to the family. They said they will investigate the matter.
Aside from Life of Riley, the Humane Rescue Alliance is also investigating.
