A family who owns a dog wanted to remind other families or dog owners that doggos really need their vaccination. This came after their doggo got rat fever.
– A dog was not her usual self last week.
– The dog was vomiting non-stop the next day.
– The dog was taken to the vet and…
The family has a total of three doggos and they thought that their shots were up-to-date. However, after the doggo got infected, that’s when they knew they were not able to get one important vaccine for their dog. Their doggo, a Jack Russel Terrier, was no longer energetic last week. A day later, the dog was vomiting non-stop. They then took their doggo to the vet and that was when they knew the dog had rat fever or leptospirosis. Leptospirosis can infect doggos if the latter makes contact with the urine of the former.
The dog was in a crucial status for nine days and the vets told the owners she might not survive. Luckily, the doggo has since recovered but the medical bills for the family skyrocketed to $8,000.
