The founder of Metro K9 Detection Services said that they are not associated to the police. The business lets people rent the dog for $200 per hour. The business owner said that he was alarmed by the number of kids being sent to juvenile detention centers because of drugs so he had the idea to start the business.
When the dogs find drugs, they will let their handlers know, who, in turn, handle the actual discovery of the drugs.
